Myanmar was known as "Burma" before 1998, and since then this new name has been put into use. Southern part of the country faces the Andaman Sea, while the inland shares borders with countries such as India, Bangladesh, China, Laos and Thai. Over 60% of the entire population is Burmese, and the rest are composed of 135 different races. Close to 90% of the population are pious Buddhists. Midway into the Ayeyarwady River Valley is a city called Bagan, one of the world's three major Buddhist Remains where you will find Buddhist Towers and Temples in any direction you set your eyes on. The country has many fascinations; the untouched nature, ancient Remains that tell us the magnificence of its history, and the loving people, just to name a few.
